Homemade Mini Pizzas with Sourdough Bread

Homemade mini pizzas made simple! This easy and healthy sourdough bread "crust" pairs perfectly with savory, mouthwatering pizza toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 jar natural pizza sauce
  • 2 cups cheddar or mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1 cup nitrate free sausage or bacon cooked
  • 1 cup sauteed veggies
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil chopped, optional
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese grated, optional

Instructions

  1. Cut sourdough bread slices in half and arrange on a baking sheet. Bake at 450 F for about 2 minutes to lightly toast. Brush with olive oil.

  2. Add pizza sauce, cheese, and desired pizza toppings.

  3. Bake at 450 F for approximately 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bread looks toasty.

  4. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and fresh chopped basil, if desired.
